whichever i'm driving.
but in reality, any car and beat any car, at any given time.
well wait.. yea, a VW bug and a bugatti.. hahaha.. yea right.
anyway. when you take "sports cars" in general, there are so many different factors that come into the equation, that it really just boils down to who is driving, and their experiance.
someone in the faster car might miss a shift… giving the slightly slow one a chance.
both might not have the same top speeds, or the same acceleration, both need to be accounted for.
what kind of race? a quarter mile? a mile? the faster car might not win the quarter mile if the slower car accelerates faster. in a mile, the slower (but with better acceleration) car might get ahead, and might be able to manuver so that the faster car cannot get around, etc etc
see what i'm trying to say here?
probably the Lotus will win, though I don't know, the dodge is a beast to say the least. Best way to find out? get the 1/4 mile times for both cars and you should have an answer.
Depends on the driver
If,by race you mean a 'drag' it might be close but if you get on to the 'twisty' stuff my money would be on the Lotus! It's one of the best handling cars you can buy!
What it lacks in H.P. against the Dodge it more than makes up for in lightness. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if the Lotus had more B.H.P/ton than the Srt! They are heavy BIG trucks after all!
In a three-way between the Exige, Viper GT and BR1500 with SRT10 Performance Package (both Dodges pack the Tremec T56; would Dodge used the NP5600 for the BE1500, as it's already a fit to the truck without exotic shifters), I call the trifecta Viper-Exige-BE1500, as the truck's extra weight more than offsets the V10's torque advantage.
Nice blog! Keep up the good work.
