Should I spend more $$ on my gear and leathers and get Dainese or Alpinestars? Or are the ‘lesser’ brands ok?

What’s wrong with boots, jeans, T-shirt and a leather jacket in the saddle bag? Worked for me for over 50 yrs.
You sir, are exactly what draws flack to the crotch rocket crowd mocking the "outfits" you guys wear, with your matching little unitard things, and matching helmets.
Gawd, you get leather, you put it on, you go ride. Brand names, color matching, what else… you gonna get a matching tank bag to carry tampons too?
You worry about too many petty things, i can’t knock armor, but if you want armor, get it ce approved, a dot or snell helmet and go ride.
you heard of a rub? heard of a squid? i don’t know what to call both, lol… a sqrub?
